Pray The Exultet
(The Easter Proclamation) 

The 40 days of this holy season of Lent offer us special time for prayer, meditation and spiritual renewal as we walk with Jesus on the long journey to Jerusalem. In our meditations for each of the 40 days, Sister of St. Joseph of Carondelet Joyce Gadoua, CSJ, focuses on the Scriptures and leads us in truly “praying Lent together.” Let us join in prayer as we prepare ourselves to celebrate the mystery of the death and resurrection of Jesus and also the death and resurrection that takes place constantly within each of us.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

To assist all of us in our preparations for the holiest week of the year, we offer for your Holy Week reflection the resources prepared by the Jesuits in the Collaborative Ministries of Creighton University. For these meditations, there is a link to the Scripture readings of the day and a brief reflection. Each daily prayer concludes with a spontaneous prayer composed by contributors in the Collaborative Ministries as an example of the type of prayer we might pray in our own words. On the site, there are also additional suggestions of books to read and resources for parish use. We are very grateful to the Jesuits and the Collaborative Ministries of Creighton University. Be assured of our prayer as we journey together during this sacred time of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus, our Redeemer.
