The four weeks of this holy season of Advent offer us special time for prayer, meditation and spiritual renewal as we walk with Mary and Joseph and join the People of God in a spirit of expectant waiting. It is a holy time, a time of vigil, when we hope for Light in the darkness, when we prepare our hearts to welcome Jesus, the Christ Child.

 

In our meditations for each of the days of Advent, Sister Joyce Gadoua, CSJ, focuses on the Scriptures and leads us in truly “praying Advent.” Each reflection is followed by some questions to ponder as we enter into the mystery of the coming of the Word Incarnate.
