2011 Spring Duet Recital

Approximately 150 people gathered on April 9 in St. Joseph’s Provincial House chapel for the Music Center’s Spring Duet Recital. Twenty-six students performed with each other, with their parents, and/or with their teachers. Selections included piano music as well as violin, cello, and guitar duets.

Sister Patricia explains, “Ensemble playing is an important music skill. It sharpens listening skills and demands exact timing to stay together. Additionally, playing together really speaks to music’s amazing socializing power. We essentially make music for and with one another.”
